The weather was SOOO beautiful, that i had to ride. I have not been riding in about a month and a half, so i knew baby would be a bit of a ball of fire. I trailered her over to the langley's place, they have some incredible trails there.I lunged her really well before i got on and of corse she bucked in the canter, but as long as i was not on her i was happy. We all rode up to a mountain top where we could see our little sunshiny valley, the guys got some pics for me of me with the vally behind and i am for sure bugg them for a copy of that one. We came upon a deer that was not able to use its hindend...so the guys shot it to put it out of its misery.the horses did wounderful with the gun fire 3 shots in all, two 22 shots did not quite do the jod so out came the 45 cal rifle...that really did the job.the guys i am sure were happy to get to shoot the guns. I had so much fun, the weather was just beautiful and my horse did really well considering i have not been keeping up on the riding!.....I cant wait for more great weather!!!

That is so great to hear, it sounds like you had a wonderful ride. I hope we get to see that picture I rode as well today. Started off with plans to ride Fantasy but she was off her game and really not responding well. I usually follow my gut and if it don't feel right, I have other horses I can saddle up and ride. I couldn't ride my usual mare I had ridden her for 3 hours Saturday 60% of the time at a trot, brush hopping. So I saddled up my daughter's Arab that had only been ridden once in the past 2 mths and he was a goof' and kept me on my toes. After two days of riding I am one very happy sore horse lady. I am with you ...I hope I get more nice riding days and I hope it gets easier and not quite so painful afterward after awhile as well ...LOL
