Mustang U will be hosting a series of virtual horse shows, most likely to begin late next month. Very basic stuff with novice horse & novice rider walk trot, green mustang, junior horse, youth and open classes. There will be simple patterns that you will need to video yourself riding, then submit.
Right now I'm working on the finishing touches of the patters, plus getting judges set up. Cost is probably going to be something like $20-25 per horse/class for the series. In other words, you can ride Fantom the wonder pony in green mustang for the entire series (5 shows) for $25, and if you'd also like to ride Rip Snort in the same class, you may do so for an additional $25.
End of season high points will be given, plus a listing of placings after each show.
This should be a lot of fun for those who've been looking for a place to show their horse without having to go to the trouble of bathing and hauling. You can show off the basics (transitions between gaits, pivots, lead changes, etc) and earn recognition, even if it's minor, for what you've accomplished.
