Well Lakota has filled out to where you can tell she is expecting now....the foal is active and kicking pretty regularly! I had the most amazing day Thursday with my girls. I went out in the pasture and sat with them for a couple hours while they ate all around me. Bella was in my lap most of the time (literally) and Lakota was the protector and look out. It's such a joy to sit with them like that and a compliment from them to know they have accepted me as part of the herd and enjoy my company. This is the first time Ive actually trusted a horse enough to sit with them like that. It can be scary - but boy it was fun Love my girls! You can see her belly!

I need to change my pic size, those are too big - sorry guys!
Yes very excited! She foaled 3 weeks early last time, so it may happen again! Are mare's usually like that, if they foal early with previous foals, will they usually stick to that? If so, we are looking at a 1st or 2nd week of March foal.
We've had nothing but rain this year - I'm afraid we are in for a wet/cold winter. We don't have but 2 maybe 3 days of sunshine in a row, which is not normal for us, but at least we're not in a drought anymore. How's everyone else's weather? I think I heard Texas was looking at possible snow this week? That'strange, isnt it?
