I thought I would throw out here an idea I had of possibly trading Amigo for another smaller kiger.
Amigo is registered SMKR,8 yrs old. He's over 16 hds(measured 2 yrs ago) about 1200 lbs.bay with a tiny crescent & various dun factor markings that change between his summer & winter coats.
He was professionally started at 5 & was ridden on the trail, completing 1 ,30 mile endurance race & 2 overnight lg group trail rides. He's had extensive professional dressage training as well. Was working on lateral movements & counter-canters & extensions in the summer of2008.He's shown talent for jumping ,doesn't bite, kick, trailers, comes when called & is very friendly. He has not been ridden since July of 2008 when I sold him but had the sale not go through due to the purchaser needing to move for her job.I decided to keep him hoping to begin riding him again someday but realize that is not going to work out.
He's just too big for me.I have trouble mounting him due to lack of movement in my hip & once on I experience alot of discomfort in my joints that was getting worse the more I rode him.
Sooo...since I love him and also want to stay in the kiger family I thought there might be someone out there who has a nice ,calm ,small kiger, hopefully gelding but the right mare would work too,14-15 hds ,4-12yrs old with some training that really wants a BIG horse.
Amigo was sold for $5000. and I had over 40 replies to my 1 ad that only ran for 1 month on a N.Cal.website so I'm sure I could sell him but I'd rather just find him a great home where he'll get ridden & give someone else's horse a forever home with me & my little Arab endurance horse.
For pix of Amigo go to Photobucket & see album "amigoandpepper",password is "welcome"
Anyone interested please contact me...not in a big hurry.
