Here are some pictures of us working on being touched. Here is her "What do you think you're doing!" face. I really wanted to pull that piece of hay out of her mane!

One thing I've found that horses can really teach you is the rewards of patience. The biggest reward of patience is trust and from trust everything else grows.

I adopted her at this past Kiger adoption. She is a yearling. Although she is about as big as Michelle's Nesa and Nesa is two. So, I am thinking she is on the upper end of 1 yo. She is also pregnant, getting bigger and bigger everyday!

Did you realize she was pregnant when you adopted her? I have to admit I love babies but having mares foal scares the bejesus out of me! I hope all goes smoothly for you and Mariposa! When do you think she's due??? Angela

No, I really didn't know she was pregnant when I adopted her. Although I figured just about any mare there would possibly be pregnant just by the "nature" of things. I have no idea when she is due, we think maybe April, but it seems as though she is bigger and bigger everyday and maybe it will be sooner than that. I think we will just have a little surprise one morning! I also have a QH mare that is due late March, but she is so HUGE I don't really expect her to make it till then.I definitely did not PLAN on having two babies due this year!

No, I can barely touch her right now. I don't think she will let the vet near her! I am just hoping I can get her somewhat halter broke before the baby comes. I will definetly keep you all posted on her progress. Lynn
