Haven't posted much about Cord lately....we've been on a couple trailrides where he's been ponied (and worn a saddle) and here's one of my daughter ponying him thru a creek... Another on his first trail ride where he wore a saddle, and walked, trotted, cantered, went in a lake and up and down hills... AND for the first time he's been bridled and saddled...and had a rider up! I was on the ground and my daughter was up in the saddle while I led....That's about all we'll do at 2yrs of age until next year....Here's the first time with a bridle on working in our pen: My little guy from the 2007 adoption is growing up! Oh, how wonderful and what great experience for him. We must get some adoption and current pictures of all the Kigers adopted in 2007 and now on the board.

How wonderful to see both boys looking great and doing so well in just a couple years time. I love the pics of Cordero out trailriding, wow he has grown. Pondersa has really filled out into a very handsome guy.

He looks great!! You guys have done a wonderful job with him. Glad you posted pics of him - I think it's been a while since we saw him. Who is the grullo foal as your avatar?
Lisa - La Ponderosa looks great as well. He look really calm under saddle. Where did you guys get the training halter you are using on him? Ive been looking for one.

That foal in my avatar is Cord when we got him from the adoption (after a bit of weight went on him)....As far as adopting...You would do fine...You do know there ought to be a Kiger roundup just around the bend, don't ya? Make a trip, it's an amazing experience and great to get to meet people too.... Next weekend we are going to a mustang show....Hope to meet Cindy there....I'm showing Cord in a couple in hand classes....Can't wait for the experience alone.... Angela
