Dunbnwild, The picture was a dog in a compromised position with a Tiger with a lewd caption stated above the picture. Not over reacting here at all. Melissa Melissa--I admire and respect your passion on the fundamental issue, but since I didn't see the picture I'm not really commenting on it's lewdness or your reaction. When I talked about overreacting, I was referring to the people about the goats--but even so, if you read again what I did say, you will see my comments are in defense of you from people who say you are over-reacting. Basically what my post was trying to impart was that this is a line that is different for each person and therefor hard to define: "I think it's easy to say these people are over-reacting, but it's just one of those issues that there's not a good place to draw the line on. " Nowhere do I say that you are overreacting.

www.dogcaptions.com. This is a site that is run by and for the benefit of dog shelters and other dog related helping hands. If you look through their cards you can purchase, even they have a picture that is related to that activity. dunbnwild, if you want to see the picture this is all about, here is the direct link. The picture will not show up on this post i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo284/kigerfireflypics/labandtiger.jpg . My last comment specifically addressed that I did my part in taking the picture and the caption off, even though I disagree with the assessment of it and back myself up by the fact that the phrase that I used is rather commonplace in the english language.. don't believe me... google it. I still maintain there was nothing lewd about the post and I removed it only to stop the negativity. I stuck my neck out to share something I thought was harmless and funny with people I believed were not sensitive to normal animal activities (and trust me, that was a normal animal activity), I was obviously wrong in I disagreeessment of the situation regarding some of the members and my posts from here on out will have absolutely no inuendo at all within them. Now. with all that said. I would like to discontinue the hard feelings this whole thing is causing and move on.

We all know you Kigerfan, and all the amusing stories you have told and we've enjoyed greatly. I know that you thought you were sharing something like that. If one of us misses the mark it would be nice to either ignore it or email the person privately. Thanks for taking it down.

Some mistakes can be ignored and this one was definitely not one of them. Offensive material placed in public can and may be dealt with in the public also. We are examples for others, including youth. Is this the kind of example we wish to display on a public forum? Again....morals. I transport youth from Kindergarden to Seniors in highschool five days a week to and from school. Most everything the kids learn originally come from adults, even the questional/borderline subjects such as this topic. Melissa

Well Melissa, let me assure you, my morals are completely intact. If you would have said something along the lines of 'I wish you would remove that, I don't think it should be on the board', I would probably have just removed it, but you attacked me right off and for all intents and purposes are continuing to catagorize me as a lewd and immoral person in a public forum. What gives you the right to judge me in any shape or form, what puts you on higher ground? I have yet to judge you, in fact I have removed the items that offended you, however, you still continue to attack me unabaited. How well does this show to young minds? How well does this speak of you?

Kigerfan, Oh cool your jets! YOU were not attacked. Nor were YOU judged or categorized as a lewd immoral person! Your choice of behavior in this matter was a bit distasteful and lewd. I did not judge you, just your poor choice of entertainment posted as the subject of this thread. That's all! Stop with the drama here. Seems to me that you just can't let it go. Melissa

Again....morals. Melissa Melissa, I believe that people write things and see what they wrote one way, while others may read what you wrote and see it another way. I read your posts and it seems to me that you are attacking Kigerfan, and judging her morals. JMHO Lisa P.S. it seems to me we are just going around the mulberry bush again and again.

A picture or verbage may be considered lewd, however neither pictures nor verbage are referred to as having morals in any source of the English language I know of. I will again state, I disagree with you completely with the assessment of the verbage and the photo, I took it down because it bothered YOU not because it was bad in any way. I still stand by that and I still say if you question the morality of the poster of that sort of thing, you question the morality of many different and often belenvolent sites that deal with animals because they also find humor in such things. And again I say that the verbage isn't anything that hasn't been commonplace in the English language for as long as I've been alive. It is commonly used to describe a fellow that is responding to something differently than he would if he was not involved with a party of the opposite sex. Maybe you could say something like..... Thank you for taking my feelings into consideration and removing it..... rather than continuing to insult me after it's already been removed?

Oh, as far as what kids learn from adults, I disagree with that statement. Kids learn what they learn partially from adults but often from TV, and other forms of media, they also learn from computer games and things like that. Personally, if I had a child (and I have been around and taken care of many, especially since I worked at a pre-school), I would much rather have my child see a dog mounting a tiger in a show of domination than for that same child to see the miriad of programs that are available on TV at the touch of a button, I'd rather the child see that same picture rather than sit down in front of a video game where death and dismemberment are commonplace. If you really want to make a difference in a childs life, try dealing with those much more eye opening and un-natural situations, rather than singling out a picture and verbage such as I posted, I hardly thing what I posted would be eye opening let alone traumatic for any child to see and I doubt they would give it a milisecond worth of thought before they went on to somthing else.
