I'm amazed that this became an issue to anyone and I too have had my support in the fact that the post was harmless and funny but I'm not going to waste time arguing over something that was supposed to be silly and funny.

Brave or foolish? Ask yourself Kigerfan. I would consider it brave and foolish to post something such as this on a mesage board, especially a board that pertains to equines. I will now seriously reconsider inviting potential Kiger enthusiasts or anyone else to visit this board as long as unrelated topics such as this is posted. There are many guests that frequent this board. Some are professionals in the horse industry and this is certainly not very professional nor even remotely related to any equine activity.

Is this board specifically a professional board? It was my understanding that this was a board that was for enthusiasts that are also people that have other things in their life besides kigers. My girl is very definitely a highlight in my life but I am no professional breeder. If this board is for professional Kiger breeders then I seem to be completely on the wrong board.
If this post is offensive to people, please remove it, I just thought it was rather a funny thing and it is from another board I visit where many people got a laugh out of it. I believe everyone can use some light hearted humor some times. It's obvious that there is nothing bad going on here, the tiger and the labrador are obviously long term play partners, the tiger is young and the dog is asserting dominance. I see nothing wrong with it, however if you all do, as I said, please remove it and I will refrain from posting anything further on this board unless it pertains directly to kigers.

I would be concerned and possibly offended if I were the parent of a child, or young person who frequents this board. As I said in my previous reply. I will now seriously reconsider inviting potential Kiger enthusiasts or anyone else to visit this board as long as unrelated topics such as this is posted. I am sure a few others might feel the same. To me, a kid and especially a 'young person' who has had any time around dogs at all has seen this type of activity, it's not unnatural and it's not 'dirty', it is just naturally what a dog does. If one tried to screen their child from seeing this kind of activity in the animal world, they wouldn't even be able to watch Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. How many children have seen horses mating? I don't believe that anything like this is damaging to a child. That's it, I'm done defending it, I think it there is nothing wrong with it, if the moderators believe this to be a bad post then please remove it.

Kigerfan, Your comment made the topic lewd, not the picture alone. Just so you won't have to go back to view your post, here it is. ((( or he is just completely thinking with the wrong head!)))
You are entitled to your opinion about this matter,as are others. I NEVER stated that this board is for professional breeders! Professionalism is exhibited in one's actions or conduct in public, not necessarily in their means of earning a living, such as breeding horses. Melissa

Dianne, Oh for pete's sake!!!!!!!You are also entitled to your opinion, such as I. Go read my previous post. This is not about the picture alone, but the comment above the picture! Coming in defense of such LEWD comments on a public forum appears to be condoning such unprofessional behavior and exposing it to participants of all ages on this board. This is my strong opinion and I WILL defend it until this thread is either finished, deleted, or I am banned from this board! Morals are morals. Melissa

Thank you Kigerfan, although the picture is a bit distasteful, even though it is supposedly a digitized image. Thanks for the support to those who emailed me in private. Melissa

Well I missed the photo--but can gather what the context was. I won't comment, since I didn't see it, but it brought to mind the other day when I was at AT&T getting my internet up and running. There was this ad on the wall behind the counter--took up a full wall --wait, here it is: And I was like what a cute picture--wait--something is wrong with these dogs--and then I realized it--the dog's private parts had been digitally enhanced--or, well removed and furred over. And I just found this very amusing. I mean I get it--who wants to look at wall-sized dog's parts? But it also seemed a little dramatic. Here in Oklahoma (a farming/ranching state, mind you), we've also had some legal issues where neighbors have reported animal matings (I think these were goats) as lewd public acts. I don't know how far those claims went or if they were taken seriously. But they did make the nightly news. I think it's easy to say these people are over-reacting, but it's just one of those issues that there's not a good place to draw the line on.

Dunbnwild, The picture was a dog in a compromised position with a Tiger with a lewd caption stated above the picture. Not over reacting here at all. Melissa

Melissa, Look, I took the picture off, it was not LEWD, that is your opinion. Though it may be shared by others, my opinion of it being funny and harmless was also shared. I've heard that particular phrase in inumerable conversations, from people I would hardly consider lewd. Heck, when the President of the United States got promiscuous, that particular phrase was a household phrase. As far as seeing that sort of picture as lewd, you can find that sort of thing on funny hallmark cards. I hardly thing I was diving deep into the gutter to present this.
In the interest of stopping the whole conversation, I took the caption and then the picture completely off. but you still insult me with your accusations that I was being lewd. The whole thing is gone just drop it.
