I do have chicken babies!! Here's a couple pictures of my favorite baby. Her name is Cleopatra because she has thick eyeliner. She flies to me because she loves me to hold her in one hand and smooch all up and down her back. She goes to sleep in my hands. She's definitely my little baby. The funny thing is that her kind of chicken has a rep of being somewhat standoffish! My hubby says I can turn a raging bull into a pocket pet. Everything ends up wanting to curl up in my lap

Yes, she is I have one Rhode Island Red, one Buff Orpington, one Barred Rock, and two Delawares besides her. She and the Delawares are babies. They all climb onto my lap if I'm sitting down. The Delawares are more playful and she is more cuddly. They're great fun

I had a hen that looked exactly like her! She was an Ameraucana/ Araucana cross. True Araucanas are rumpless (tailess). www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGA/Arau/BRKArauTrue.htmlMost of the big chicken hatcheries use the cross instead of the true Araucanas so they can focus more on the egg color. If you like chickens at all or just want to see some weird/ every breed out there, check out this website www.feathersite.com/Poultry/BRKChickensA-C.html Be prepared to be amazed! lol Kigerfan, I love your chicken/ firefly stories. Don't be shy about them and keep them coming!

I'm glad you are enjoying them. I really enjoy my children be they four foot or feathered, they really brighten my life. I'm feeling better, getting more range of motion but I'm still hurting a good bit in places. I had some deep bruising. My hubby is not too impressed with Firefly right now but I keep telling him it was my fault not hers. I said that would be like doing something wrong with your boat and then having something go wrong and blaming the boat. I love the girl to pieces. I'm going to get some driving lines and work on driving her from the ground before I ever get back aboard. I need to heal a whole lot more physically and mentally.
