Joan, I was wondering how the heck you remembered my birthday! :-) Thank you all for your birthday wishes. I had a great day because I was NOT in the hayfield for the first time in 3 years! :-) Have a great day everyone! Kristi

Yeah! A day to celebrate indeed then. How was your hay this year, were you able to get it in early?

Dianne, we didn't fertilize so we had a fraction of the hay we normally produce. In a typical summer Randy and I will put up 4400 square bales weighing about 60 pounds each. They cannot weigh more because after slinging them around all day I just cannot lift anything heavier than that to stack high in the barn. And, we don't have any fancy equipment (wish we did) so it's ALL manual. Occassionally Randy and I will have a friend drop by to help but 90% of the time it is just the two of us. So, when we realized our hay wasn't going to produce as much I was both upset and happy! ha ha By the way, isn't your birthday in August too??? Kristi

Yep, yesterday. I've decided I liked being 49 so much I'm going to stay that age until I'm 70.
