My mom has recently retired (08/05) and is now available for babysitting a lot more! She used to work swing shifts for a boys camp (much like the con camps for prisoners but for boys under 18) so was un-available most the time or on her days off, Thurs & Fri, was usually very tired. Anyway, now that she has retired I'm back in the saddle a lot more regularly now. I have been rotating between horses and took Sunnie out last night. We have a group of 4 women who go, one Haflinger, one Arab, and two Mustangs one of which is Sunnie. We have been having a blast and enjoying our mommy time away. This last photo is of when we got back... You can tell he's a bit out of shape but that nice loop we took last night is the perfect little work out. Poor Cali is next, and she is a lot more obese than Sunnie is! We'll be going again Thursday evening.

That is wonderful news to have a baby sitter now and an opportunity to get out riding more. Thanks for sharing some pictures. Sunnie is looking pretty good, should be looking great after a he gets some more miles on him I too have had a greater opportunity to ride more, as I finally found me a new riding partner that is just as crazy about trail riding as me. As soon as I get a chance to start riding some Kigers I promise to post some pictures, as well.

Here's a picture I got of Cali while we waited for our fearless leader to clear a path through the berries. Cali did very well and seems to already be "shaping up" in her physical sense. She walked a lot faster this time and had a lot more energy. She also didn't sweat as much which I was happy to see. I got her some head gear finally -- I had been riding her in a halter and lead rope for quite some time but bought this custom made "haltermore" from www.sunsethalters.com. Would you believe that I ordered everything custom and received it in the PO two days after I ordered it! Now that's service! Anyway, it was another lovely rides in our local mountains.
