I was out yesterday weeding the yard, using a shovel to break weeds from the ground. Firefly kept playing with the shovel, both the front and back of it. When I broke a weed loose she would grab it and walk away with it. I'd go get it from her and stuff it into the black plastic trash bag (supposed to be a scarey thing) but she didn't want it there so she would reach her head into the trash bag, grab the weed and shake the bag off of it, then drop the weed on the ground and look at me. I swear it took me three hours to get just a small patch of weeding done and put in the trash, but I must confess, it was very entertaining.

LOL-- mine are the same way and they'll work together--one distracting me and while I'm reprimanding/running after that one, the other comes in behind for the nab. It is fun, though...

Characters! I remember working on a fence and Chinny's nose kept getting in the way and he kept wakling off with my hammer. I laid my new leather gloves down and could not find them again...until the next Spring....and they had little teeth holes in them.

Some people came to get manure and they brought plastic bags and boxes to put it in. Bolero of course stole a box and ran around with it, then tore it up.
Yesterday they returned with their granddaughter, and I gave her a ride on Spring and Chica, Jerry and Cola all followed us around like a parade. Chica likes to tickle the kid's legs while they are riding Spring.
One day while I was cutting burdock down with pruners, Cola, the donkey, took one of the pruners and had one handle in his mouth and the other on the ground and was pushing on it right next to a large weed. I swear he was trying to cut it down. He and Bolero always try my shovels, manure forks or anything they can get their mouths on.

Never had horses like this before, they are so very curious about everything and even if something does scare Firefly, she doesn't go very far before coming back. There was a tractor back there with her while she was loose and she just stood there and watched as if she was the foreman and was making sure the job was all done right.
