I know all of you lucky people out there with lush green pastures don't have to worry about this, but glory does the oat hay like to stick in Banner's mane!

Oh how cute! He sure looks like he's been rolling around in all that hay!! Why not wear your food as well as eat it!! Looks good either way to the I guess

LOL, Steve Holt! has the same problem. You've no idea how many 'glamour' shots I've got of him with hay stuck somewhere. ;D

I don't know how he does it! My other two quarter horses seem to get through a meal without wearing it, but then again, they don't have that long, beautiful Kiger mane to contend with either. Banner sort of reminds me of one of my sons when he was a youngster. I swear he got more food out than in during mealtimes...

Good luck with that. Nothing a good roll in the hay won't accomplish to get some more groom time! Too cute!
My mini-donkey LOVES fresh shavings, and is right there to help to dump them out of the bags. I don't seem to do it fast enough for him. I cut the bag and he dumps it or he bites the bag and tears it if I'm not quick enough. It is his favorite chore. Then he rolls several times and is just so pleased. His entire body will be covered with shavings when his coat is long, which is 11 out of 12 months. I really must get pictures of him doing it. Linda D

Yes you do Linda! That sounds adorable! I want to get my daughter a mini donk someday... I just need a big ol' persuasion stick for my lovely hubby. ;D

Joan, once he sees one in his back yard he'll be smitten. We had one for about a minute and a half; both the men in this house fell in love. Too bad she was mean to sheep...and the horses were mean to her. She went traveling down the road to another home pretty quick.
