On the ones that you posted, are you going to say what's kiger and what's not?

This is a mare I trained a few years back. Branded BLM Mustang, but I have no idea from what HMA. This is also the mare I plan on breeding to my Kiger stallion (if I ever get one, lol). Her owner absolutely refuses to sell her to me, lol, so she told me I could breed her and keep the baby...

Don't blame you for wanting to breed her, in the absence of your own stud, have you considered artificial insemination from an existing stallion? I stillllll can't see the black horse well enough to really see the conformation

I actually did think of doing AI. I talked to Denise DeBaere a couple of years ago about using Kiger Sundance, but nothing ever came of it. I decided I really wanted my own wild Kiger to gentle. That's my favorite part is the bonding during the gentling process. )

Sundance is definitely an awesome stud. He's the sire of my girl and she carries much of his looks. She had been running wild in a field with a heard of other Kigers when I purchased her. She had to go through gentling/bonding and such. Now she follows me around like a dog and has to have her nose in anything I might be doing unless she is out with her two boyfriends, then they just love to play.

Number 2 and 3 are the Kigers of the ones I posted. The first is one of JPs' lusitano mares, the last one is a horse I bought at a local auction. I can't remember who the grey is, but I have a whole folder of Kiger picts I have collected over the years. The dark horse is my first Kiger, Zorro (aka Midnight). The grullo I bought at the auction has the wildest stripes - all the way down his neck, barbs coming off his dorsal - his 3" dorsal!

Anyone have any more comparisons? I'm finding it very enjoyable. I find it hard to really tell the Kigers from some of the other HMA mustangs. I wonder what really makes a kiger a kiger, other than coming from the two HMAs. What conformation and color makes them different from the other 'spanish' mustangs?
