I started my weekend with BIG plans. I was going to put in a new southwest planter in the yard with cactus and stuff and get my arena enlarged to triple the size. Have it all cleaned up and dragged, then ready to use the coming week. I was also expecting my new DirecTV HD DVR delivered FedEX on Saturday as my present one's hard drive burnt out on Thurs. and I have no TV channels until it arrives.
On Friday: While I did get the panels moved to enlarge the arena, my neighbors that use the arena as well, came over to clean up and remove rocks from the new area, tossing them all in the tractor bucket. It was only when I made an attempt to lift the tractor bucket to dump the rocks that I realized the hydrolics were not working. That put an end to work on the arena for the weekend, though my hubby did make an attempt half of Saturday to fix the tractor, I am afraid it had to be loaded on a trailer and will be headed to the shop Monday. Use of the arena will have to wait another week.
So on Saturday: Instead I washed Wickee and braided her mane and tail, as there is a Mustang show next weekend I thought it would be fun to enter her in. Then I washed and clipped up Claudia it had been awhile sense the big Clydesdale had been cleaned up to look pretty.

my DirecTV HD DVR never arrived and I sure hope FedEX shows up Monday, I am most definately calling DirecTV to let them know I am not happy about late delivery.
Then Sunday: While I was able to use a wheel barrel to bring the brick over to build my planter box, filling it with dirt and planting it will also have to wait until the tractor returns from the doctor. My hubby sprayed all the weeds on our property to kill them dead, I was happy about that.
I found out while going thru' the paper work for the Mustang show Wickee does not qualify to show, because she is captive bred. It is a show for wild born Mustangs only. But I will take her anyway just for the experience of being in a show atmosphere.
Later in the afternoon I saddled up Claudia to meet a friend to go on a short ride around the neighborhood. While my friend's husband took two of the childern with him earlier, she was left with one behind. So she shared a seat with me on our ride. It was a nice stroll around the neighborhood.
