The show was fabulous. I don't think it could have gone better! ;D I think we ended up having over 60 horses there. Half of them were mustangs. The Oregon teens with yearling's (they got wild yearling's to gentle in 100 days) were there as we had classes just for them. They did in-hand trail, showmanship and lunge line. I think there was about 10 of them. Kevin and I both picked out the same yearling we want to adopt without knowing it until the end of the show. So I guess it must be fate. Her name is, Oh Golly Miss Molly. ;D She is brown and from sheepshead HMA. The adoption is in September when the end of the contest is and the teens compete for a saddle. There were aprox. 10 Kigers there. Kim Kellogg was there with Feugo, Love him . Lil Nagy was there will Feugo's daughter Stella, WOW, is she gorgeous. Another lady from WA. wash there BJ Lee. She has a beautiful mare, SWS La Bella Dunna. We took Daunte and he got Second in halter. Kevin was going to show him in one walk/trot class, but it was too much excitement for him. Dino got High Point Stallion! ;D There were 3 stallions in halter. Dino, Fuego and Manny (Debi Pretty's horse). She did super at the show! I am sorry to say I didn't get any pictures because I was just to busy. We did have a professional photographer and I will post her web page. She said she will have the pictures up by Wednesday. mollydillpotography.com All in all it was great fun. Everyone had a great time. We hope to do it again next year! Lisa

I think what Lisa meant to say is Dino won Champion Halter in Open & Mustang Division; I only rode in him two other classes as I was busy with the show.
The kids with the Oregon Teens with Yearling did great and a big THANK YOU goes out to Erica Knight for her work in organizing the program.

Lisa, How did Lil do overall In Hand? I left before they announced high point stuff. As it was I didn't get home til 8:30 because of horrible traffic north of Olympia. Stella is an awesome filly and Lil has done a fabulous job with her. Fuego is proud! Kim

MISS MOLLY IS THE ONE I WANT TO ADOPT ALSO!!!! Alas, I am on adoption restriction right now. But that is one beautiful filly. You should adopt her so I can see her from time to time and admire how she grows up :-). Nice young gal too; very humble. I had a ball at the show with my two Kigers, and my daughter and her mustang, , and thanks to Lisa and Kevin for all their hard work! I was surprised by the green horse high point, as I didn't enter all the possible classes. I was just SO happy with my 3 year old Kiger mare Sofie, who has less than 30 days under saddle. We did walk/trot, both English and western. Sofie can be a little melodramatic, like when she saw the scary bushes in the trail class. but for rail work she was relaxed and forward and steady. She is going to be a lovely riding horse; very responsive. She is still for sale, and here is a more current pic of her. and Stella, who is 2, can act alot like, well, like a two year old. Good, distracted, naughty, good, bored, and so on. She struggled with standing still in showmanship, but for everything else, where she had something to DO, she was great. In Trial IN Hand, we had to move a bucket of gravel, and she was just certain if she looked closely enough she would find grain! I was so busy, with my two horses and helping my daughter, I did not take a single picture. so sad. and Kim, it paid off to wait till 6 to leave as it only took me 4 hours to get home. Lil

Cool, I loved seeing all the kids competing! Everyone looked like they had a ball and the horses were beautiful. Is that you around the campfire telling a fish story Kevin?
