I think the addy is www.wildhorsefoundation.org/cimmaron%20spirit%20of%20texas.htmThis is a rescue horse so it doesn't look like much of anything at the moment, but the color looks brown not even bay. In six months it could look totally different. Any horse out of Steens Kiger can claim to be related to Donner. There seems like a lot of hype on this site. anyone know if its for real?

See...that horse is what I'm talking about when I say a lot of people ought not be breeding, but they choose to do so anyway. This horse was bred in captivity, so there's no reason for it to look like it does (thin, not cared for), and yet at it's young age it's boasting of it's good breeding while in a rescue.
That's why I say people really need to think out their breeding plans and have a purpose, because we really don't want a glut of inferior horses at rescues. And I'm sure everyone can agree on that.

That fellow is part of the reason I think there should be a numerical rating program to any registry. Horses that rate under a certain amount are not admitted to the registry, therefore not papered, therefore not attractive to buy to breed.

I did see something about an inspector mentioned in someone's post somewhere here. So what you're talking about would be something similar to what they do with the American Warmblood (I think that's who it is, anyway), and send out someone to evaluate conformation, temperament and movement? Sounds like a good start.
