Hi All, I've been going back and forth over whom I need to sell (having 3 kigers whom I love equally doesn't help) and had listed my grulla green broke mare a few places but haven't had any serious success. Simon says (HA!) that I need to get down to 2 and I know he wants it done before winter so I've thought that maybe it'd be easier/better to sell my riding gelding, Sunnie. So, I'm offering him up -- he was trained by Gin at Hilltop Farm (www.hilltopfarm-oregon.com) for 60 days and is a good boy. Sunnie is very mellow, easy going temperament, excellent hooves, stands tied, trailers, vets, good for farrier, bathes etc. etc. He has sired a few foals and was gelded as a 5 year old. He has never expressed any interest in other mares while riding and rides along side other horses without incident. He did express interest in one mare at a recent gymkhana but was not out of control by any means - he just couldn't take his eyes off her (she was a champagne, can't say I don't blame him.) Sunnie is sired by Sundance and out of a Kiger Dundee daughter, Catalina. Asking $5000.00 to an approved home. mudranch@gmail.com

Ah shucks! Sorry to hear this Joan. He is such a gorgeous boy. I remeber when you posted about getting him home from Hilltop farms after his training and how wonderful he was. I sure hope he gets a good family! Wish I needed another horse Well, of course I can always "want" another horse but "needing" is a different story!

Thanks Angel -- I had been asked by someone else about him before and go to thinking this may be the best thing... Who knows? I just know I need to get down to 2 and a better trained horse is better for the new owners and makes my mind more at ease (rather than telling someone a horse is green then having them do something dumb and having a horse in trouble.) We'll see what happens! Let me know if you ever need another! I know you have a very loving home.

A big NFS (not for sale!) on Sunnie - looks like I've found a WONDERFUL endurance home for Annie Oakley in Wisconsin. If all goes right, she'll be headed to the AERC Nationals this weekend for her ride home!

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with the whole thing... Annie is doing what she needs to do, get a job! And I believe no one snatched Sunnie because he was meant to stay with me! ;D Glad it all worked out, though I'm sure I'll still cry when Annie leaves but it'll be a happy cry and selfish cry all at the same time.

Hey Joan, that is just super! You and your Annie will be out there with Sunnie and Cali and Annie Oakley will be making you proud back in Wisconsin. Annie Oakley is a special horse and endurance sounds right up her alley. You did good...even if it didn't feel good.

I am so glad that you and Sunny will stay together. I so love a happy ending. It seems so many people have sold horses that I thought would never part. Makes me sad. So glad that it worked out for you. Sunny is so beautiful.! Congratulations on such a great outcome.

Thank you ladies - everything has definitely worked out for the best. I'm happy to have the two; Sunnie & Cali. They are great, and I've been riding them every week and am now very glad to be able to take both of them to events (I have a 2 horse trailer). It is a lot easier having two and all the updates I receive from Pam w/ Annie Oakley just fill my heart with pride and gladness - though a little jealous. They are going to do wonderful things and Pam's home is exactly what I've wanted for Annie Oakley for a long time! I will keep you updated on them - or rather, hopefully Pam finds the time to check in on here. ;D
