Rick called me at work yesterday to tell me that Fit had opened the pature gate and let the 4 of them out onto the property. He saw something out of the corner of his eye outside the garage window and there they were walking by. He gated the driveway and left them out for the day. We feed three X a day so at the last feeding I didn't turn on lights as the horses are in a pasture about 10 feet from the hay storage. I didn't hear the usual sound of hooves as they gathered to eat so I started to look and heard hooves behind me in the driveway. Twice in one day is too many times so we now have a snap closure on all the gates. Too much intelligence and too much spare time. and he is teaching it to the foals.

Yep, Smoke used to be really good with unlocking his stall. He'd let the neighbor out too! I can imagine that there was something interesting to eat out there and Fit figured he'd take his herd out for a night on the town..er, lawn.
