He finally arrived yesterday, well last night before midnight! All is well with both Lakota and the new little one. Lakota is an amazing mom and he's going to be a little pistol I can tell, he was trying to gallop and buck before 2 hours old!!
You guys know I have tons of pics to post!!
The first touch...he's only 45 minutes old here
Nap time after all that!
One of my favorite...he's trying to play with Lakota!

my goodness gracious, he is so handsome and yes just a pistol...it will be so exciting watching this guy grow up with you, Bella and Lakota. I am also anxious to hear what you have chosen as a worthy name.

YEAH!! YIPPY!!! He has Saphiros topline for sure...he'll be able to get down and really pull forward with that rear!! Great angles too. What a handsome colt - Congrats!!
True Horsesmanship is not about mastery over the horse but rather mastery over yourself.
Congrats Angel! Very nice colt! He does look like he could be a spitfire judging from that last picture. Poor Lakota, she just might have her hands full, LOL!

Brandy, his sire is Saphiro, a Lusitano.
Thanks everyone, I am excited! I can't believe he's finally here. Took forever (just seems that way) He is coming alive more and more each day! I just love love babies. He's a big eater as well, good thing Lakota has tons of milk She's definately going to get her "girlie" figure back chasing this little fellow around
Finally rest time
And Ms. Protective Mama checking out the horse walking down the road...
