I was thinking, maybe those involved with Kiger registries here can share how many new foals are registered each year? Be very interested in especially the last three years as opposed to other years...

This is a good question...I'm sure there are a lot more kiger's out there than we know about. I'd love to see what's out there and see who is still breeding or quit and it would give us an idea of just how many kiger's are really out there! Of course I've still not registered mine yet either

I will be registering my little Faith next month. She is not a foal, but a 3 year old. I am waiting for all of her winter fuzz to disappear so I can get good pictures. I can't wait to show her before and after shots. She is looking so good compared to when she first arrived!

O, good, I've been hoping of some new Faith pictures. I'll bet she is stunning.

I would be really interested to see who the new adopters opted to choose as the registry to represent them and the new foals they got from their mares as well. I always registered all my half Kigers when they were born. For no other reason then to have paperwork with proof of ownership and to keep track of bloodline.

I have wondered about this also. I looked at the websites and have been disappointed at the lack of information provided. It is difficult to decide when there are more than one to choose from. I wish there was one main registry that had more to offer. The KHAR website is attractive and nicely laid out, but seems very incomplete. The KMA website gives me a headache. It is also lacking in some things. It seems very out dated. I decided to take advantage of the free registration offer for new members with KHAR. When I received my membership packet, I was a bit disappointed...a letter of thanks and a BLM brochure on Kigers. I wasn't even given a membership number. I will register my filly next month with KHAR. After I get her DNA testing info, I will pursue registration with KMA. Since I can not decide which would be more beneficial for me, I will do both.
