Lisa, that little critter does look a lot like Creek!
Kelly, some of them just speak to you. Mare 8746 does that for me; she's got Sandy's eye and he's turned into such a wonderful horse that I can't help but be drawn to any horse that has that look. I'm also fond of 8589, though, and the wee little 8963.

I know exactly what you mean. Heck, for that matter, why don't we just load them all up and bring them home. LOL!!!!

Bad Kelly, bad! City Boy is already asking why I'm offering to bring home horses and gentle them for people on my blog, lol! I've featured two horses so far, and when he gets up in the morning he'll read that I'm hatching a crazy plan to drag fellow bloggers to Oregon with me to photograph them in the wild!

Okay, I read this thread and then filled out a BLM adoption form and even managed to send a corral sketch online too! It took me a couple of hours to find a program on my computer that would save in jpg format!! All of this work if my hubby agrees to let me bid on this guy that was pictured earlier as looking similar to Creek! They are sending a load to Rutland, VT on June 12th, which is about 32 miles from me. www.blm.gov/adoptahorse/horse.php?horse_id=2906I did sell my mare, Blackstone's Lady Shiloh, to another Vermonter, and they are getting along famously so far. Shirley ;D

Cool beans, Shirley! That's a super cute little colt. We had one like him in Arlington last month that went for a paltry $125!

I've seen three Kigers, related to each other, that had Creek's blaze off the left nostril. The boy from Sheephead is nice, there is a grulla mare that looks like him but looks a little wild. I think my favorite is the light red dun mare, and next would be 8773, he reminds me of Chinook when I bought him. There are a couple good bidding wars going on. The chestnut colt 8759 is up to $665! Does that little silver dapple gelding look like he has a scar on his face? Tracey, do you think 8862, 8662, 8773 and 8746 are related? 8862 is heavier because he's been a stallion, but I think they look similar.

There is certainly a resemblance among them...well, I'm not so sure about the mare 8746, but 8626 certainly looks like he could be among them. 8746 had a face that reminds me of Sandy. I'm really drawn to her. Wondering if I ought to try to pick her up for TIP...but then wondering just where I'd stash her since I've got the yearlings here for a couple more months.

I decided to pop in and take a look at the horses offered and pick my favorite too Sense I am close to Burns I will chose from the Burns Bunch, I love #8962 She has a profile on her head I love. Her legs are long and strong she still has some growing to do. A nice deep grith and big chest (I like a chesty horse) a bit of bum, just fine by me and her back looks like it could sit a western saddle easy, not difficult to fit. Icing on the cake is that great color and all that mane, tail and feather... oh and she's a girl

I can't believe nobody has bid on 8928 yet, she's a pretty girl and I like her face.

Tis finished! Wonder who the WA adopter is that took 8862?
The lovely, fiery looking gelding that I like got a last minute bid, as did a few others. I've only looked over the Burns horses so far, but looks like nearly all were bid on, just four left. Even that plain bay mare who looks so much like my Sandy ended up with a few bids.

Ridgecrest had five horses that didn't receive bids, Burns had five, two of the fillies had such friendly eyes, I can't believe they didn't go. Rock Springs had seven with no bids (most of the horses up for auction for that site). Mantle Ranch sold out! (didn't have very many, but good for them) Ewing Ill had five left unsold of the eight they had up for auction.
All the ones that caught my eye sold.
What do they do now with the ones that didn't sell?
