Mist (aka Firecracker) is available. Owner has too many hospital bills and just can't keep up with the feed. I've no room for her here at the moment.
I'm not sure what all Debbie has done with her, but she's been on her, so she's probably ready to really get going for this year's trail rides or walk trot classes.
My connection is super slow tonight but I'll try to post photos tomorrow.

Kelly, it looks like we've got a couple folks donating hay that should last until spring. At that time we'll start evaluating if she thinks she can get her medical bill resolved with the hospital. If not then the mare will definitely be available. Here are a couple of pics from summer, though:

Thanks for the pictures, she is definately a sweet girl. I am so happy to hear that some very generous people have helped. Horse people cease to amaze me, their hearts are always so big. I will be keeping my fingers crossed that things work out so she can keep her girl!!!!

She's available...AGAIN...
Spoke with her mamma and they really do need to lighten the load, plus FC needs to be worked with on a consistent basis, which of course with her health issues isn't real possible.
So...14.1/14.2 hands, dark dun or brown on her paperwork, coming 5 this year. She's been ridden at a walk but nothing more. Very catty and athletic, though, so with someone willing to put in 20 minutes a day with her, she'd likely be a great little horse. I always wanted to see how she'd do on a cow...I think she may be able to do the job.

I suspect we're a good distance from you as we're up in NW WA. However...to the right home the only fee would be shipping. I just want her in a good home, as does her current owner.

I am guessing you may be right about the distance thing. I am in KY but I have been known to ship horses from Oregon here or make a road trip out of it since there aren't many Kigers in my area. I am new to the world of Kigers but know a few people. We have a 25 acre farm in Paris, KY.

Hey, maybe you ought to have her bred while she's here, then ship her that way? Then you'd get two shipped for the price of one ;D

Very true. I would have to find a shipper. If you like email me at westery1@aol.com or dwinwest@yahoo.com and we can talk.

I was going to suggest Ziegler as well. I emailed them a bit earlier; hopefully will hear back soon (Monday, I suspect.)

Hey Westery.... If you decide to buy Misty and have her bred before you have her shipped - you can't go wrong in breeding her to one of Kim's stallions! If I ever breed my 1/2 Kiger full Mustang 4 year old filly Classy - she's going to go visit Fuego!!! Although - Ki is right up there in the mix of things!!

Heard back from Ziegler; they need drop off location to give a quote. Westery, if you'd like to pm me your location I can forward that info to them.
These folks are pretty desperate right now. I'm going to be buying some hay for them to help get them through another week or two.
