Kiger dispersal - 6 Kigers. I tried to stick it out, but it is time to face reality. Either I sell before too long or face going under and losing our home. Please e-mail me for details if you are interested in buying or homing one or more. Please don't e-mail just to find out what went wrong. It is simple really. My husband can't work, and I can't support all of us. Sorry, this is a painful subject for me and I don't really want to discuss any more of it than I need to here. I get a supreme case of sad. I have pictures and health records. All reasonable offers considered - appropriate homes are important. Thanks!

I am sorry Bobbe, sure wish I was able to home some but it just isn't possible. Good luck with your search, I am praying you'll be able to place them with success.

Thanks Joan! They will eat and be taken care of as long as I have them, and depending on how it goes, I may get to keep one of the fillies. If not, I will have to get my fill of Kigers next spring if we can resume shooting the video.

Bobbe, you don't me (as I am fairly new to this forum) but I do wish you success and all the best with finding homes for your Kigers. I wish I had more land to offer you, and you horses, assistance. Unfortunately, we are over stocked as it is and have two fillies for sale. Best of luck of you. Leesa

Bobbe, I am so sorry you are in this position, just know I understand. You are in my thoughts and prayers as well, that you will find good homes for your horses and hopefully you will be able to keep one for a future riding horse and Kiger to love.

Thanks to everyone who wished us well or thought about giving one of my horses a home. I was unsuccessful at placing any of them. I had the colt sold but the woman was afraid he would not get tall enough for her so at the last minute she backed out. I don't blame her, but that sale would have kept the rest of the horses fed through winter, so I am dissapointed to say the least. We have numerous free horses posted in this area so my mustangs may have been overlooked for the Arabs, Quarter horses and rescue horses listed out there.
I have to make arrangements for someone to come and get all of them this week, so I probably won't visit the board any more. Guess I am getting a little old to be training my own horses anyway ;D
I hope everyone has a nice holiday and I wish you the best with your horses. I would not have started with Kigers if I had not been impressed with them in many ways.
Bobbe

Well Bobbe, I think there are plenty of people who frequent the board that don't own Kigers. I think everyone will agree that you're welcome here regardless. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and I wish you the best for you and your horses.

Thanks Joan,
I can still hope for a last minute Christmas miracle. There might be someone out there who needs a last minute present. I have about 4 days left to sell a horse for hay or give away 4 of them and I might be able to hang on to my stallion and best friend. He is the one I wil miss the most. If not, there must be some other plan for me that God has not shown me yet so if you are listening God, now woudl be a good time to show me what to do.

Do know you are more then welcome to visit the board any time. All that is required is a love of horses not ownership. ...I am praying for a miracle. I do hope some enlightenment comes your way.

Hey Bobbe, You know that its always last minute when a miracle shows up. You've got tons of points for all the work you two did getting all the barbed wire off the Kiger HMA after that foal was killed by getting tangled in it, I've never forgotten that. Post your address here will you?

And up popped the answer to my prayers ;D Someone reached out to me with a solution, at least a temporary one. I won't offer details, I don't know how the person feels about that and I would not want to offend, but the phone call seems to have granted me a couple of months grace to continue trying find good homes or buyers; and it will also benefit them at the same time. I wanted everyone to know because I know you understand what I have been feeling and have been so kind. When I said someone would have to come and pick up the horses soon, I NEVER meant they would go to slaughter, just to be clear. Someone said they hoped I wouldn't do that. Not ever!!!! Thanks agan to the folks who posted or e-mailed. Now I am more optimistic about a happy ending. It is the best Christmas present I could have imagined.
