Ha! Ha!
I make no promises about falling asleep! It's a veeeerrrryyyy long week! We ride 20-28 miles a day except for the first day (14 miles) and last day (30+ miles). The first few days are the hardest. After that your butt goes numb and everything is okay ;D. Just kidding, about going numb at least. I'll keep everyone posted as long as I have access. Some of the areas are so remote that there is no cell service. I have a Venizon USB card for internet access, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Rocky was a little stinker this weekend, which is very unlike him. We are dealing with some separation issues when leaving the herd at home. I think this trip will really help him and I to bond even more. Hopefully he will start to look to me more than the other horses. I did spend the long weekend getting him all "prettied" up for the ride. His mane is soooo long it is very difficult to keep neat. He loves to do the Arabian twirl with his head and next which instantly turns his mane into dreadlocks. A friend suggested that I try J&J no more tangles (for little girls) on his mane instead of cowboy magic. It seems to be working. It does not make the mane silky like cowboy magic does, but it does seem to help maintain an already groomed mane. I also rubber banded 2 inch wide sections of mane. I'll take pictures on the ride so that you can see what I am talking about! Can you tell I'm more than a little excited??? Can't wait to get my boy away!
