Very handsome! Sure does look like a grullo - and Sedona is a proud mama, you can tell. I bet she is sticking pretty close to him.

Yep, this is the last for us at least for a while. I "might" have to have a foal around to play with once in a while. I wanted a few of Chinny's kids born before we quit and we sure got them. I'll have more pictures soon as the colt is fluffed out. His nose and around his eyes is grey, not buff color for those of you going "huh?" about the grulla color. And there is a something different in the shade of his coat, a coolness to the buff color that doesn't show up in pictures well.
I think his name is going to be Mojito, which means a little bit of luck or magic. Its also a popular drink so should be easy to remember too! Sedona is a first time mom and so very much in love with her colt. She just melts when she looks at him and spends a lot of time when he is sleeping just standing guard next to him. Good thing she's nice a plump. Glad she is such a sweetheart too.

He is a handsome kid, Dianne. He looks grulla to me, too. My recent silver grulla filly was colored just like that when she came out. Her "eye makeup" was very black and her forehead looked olive(?) underneath the dun hairs. Maybe you have a silver grulla here? Here are pics of Peaches in her dun coat and shedding out to her silver grulla coat. I'm keeping this one.

She's fancy Cheryl! What a bright silver color! Who's the mama? What a gorgeous mare too!

Peaches and Mojito are both nice looking babies...I can't blame Cheryl for keeping Peaches....Dianne are you going to keep Mojito for a while then? I agree with the grulla thing; a coolness of his coat seems to be visible in the pics....

Yes, I'm going to keep him for a bit and see how he develops. This is Sedona's first foal so it will be interesting to have him around for a while. Cheryl that is a nice filly! She's the same age as Blue then.

Hi Joan, It's nice to see you posting here. The mother of this filly is a dun mare that I adopted in 2003 along with Capitano. I adopted her sight unseen, she was the last mare to be auctioned off and I wanted another mare so I kept bidding on her till I won her. I was lucky to get her, she has turned out to be very nice in looks, temperament, movement, throws very nice babies, etc. Her name is Kiger Gitana(Gypsy) of Cordoba(where gypsies live in Spain) of Happy Valley. Dianne, this filly was born in April of this year. Wasn't Blue born last year? They could make a good pair for breeding.

I' ve got a question on mojito's color. I am still learning about color,so is it the grey cast on his fore head and around his barrel that makes you think he will be grullo??
