Haha I hear ya. I just came in from splitting wood, since there is nothing else to do other than watching the adoption. There is only one hour left!
Wow the 4 yr old mare #1203 is at 925!

Oh darn! I hate to hear that. I thought you were the high bidder on 4798. Which one were you going for? I did manage to get 1242! I couldn't believe that I got him for $130. It should have been $125, but when I went back to set a reserve it jumped my bid to $130. I was able to get www.blm.gov/adoptahorse/horse.php?horse_id=4844for my dad! I also was high bidder on www.blm.gov/adoptahorse/horse.php?horse_id=4854, but I'm not gonna get her. There was someone else bidding on her, and I don't want to ruin a kid's christmas. |

Congrats on your two - how nice to leave the little grulla for the other bidder. Yes, I was going for 4798 but was about bid the last stinking second! By the time I entered another reserve, it was over.
Looking forward to seeing picts of your guys when they get home with you.

Oh crap! That really, really, sucks. I'm terribly sorry. Looks like they bid on 2 horses 4798 and 1246. Maybe they will take the black and leave 4798 for you.
I'll be sure to post pics of mine when I bring him home 2/3/12.

I was able to get 1242, w00t! He managed to fly under the radar. You better believe I was sweating bullets after seeing the prices others brought. I guess no one liked him but me and one other person.

No, did not find out yet. Hope I do and hope he stays in the gene pool as we need more with that real Spanish conformation and angles. I see less and less coming in off the range. Thanks for all your support!

Don't remind me...there were other circumstances going on that I did not get him at the adoption. I don't regret my decision...just wish I could have gotten him but such is life!

Me too. But I am pleased with the ones I got, and they are all the challange I need this Winter. I actually went there to get the bay filly you got. I thought she was really good and was afraid no one else would bid on her. But when someone did, I backed off knowing she would get a good home.
