Here is a little teaser picture of my "new" mare. She is officially mine tomorrow but I am too excited not to share. This is the two year old that I sold last year. She is coming back to me and is staying for good. Over the limit but so worth it (Pictured at 18 months, I will get better/newer pictures over the next few days)

Great news! I can't wait to see updated photos of her. From the picture, it looks like ever her "bay points" are diluted. I haven't seen that often. I have noticed the same dark areas in a lot of dun kigers, but it's interesting that the base color has the same lack of dark points. Have you picked an official color for her to wear in regards to tack? I am always drawn to the bays and they can be such stunners in the ring.

Thank you. Well from the time she was a foal she has always had a raspberry pink halter and she looked stunning in it. I will need to get her a new one this weekend, lol. All of my tack is a burgendy / dark brown color so as long as it will fit her that is what she will wear. Though I have brigendy striped saddle pads and blankets and they looked nice on her as well. She is primarily going to be used for my daughter, but since she is only 3 months old I get a "new" little buddy for a few years, lol. I was lucky enough to be able to work with her from the time she was 6 months old so prety much all of her training was done by me. Even the people who bought her from me had me continue to work with her for about 6 months until it got too wet and they had to board her out somewhere else. I cant wait to see her and have her back. I should have new pictures to put up late tonight or early tomorrow morning. Here she is at about 2.5-3 months old That is mama in the background Here she is as a yearling 18 months 2 years a beautiful bay with no dun points. but this did show up on her forehead last year

Aww, glad she's finally home! Can't wait to see more pics when she gets settled in at home again! That smudged dark spot on her forehead is really really interesting!

That dark spot just randomly showed up. I though she got into something so I scrubbed it and scrubbed it, but nothing happened. once she shed her winter fuzzies it went away. It was a lot bigger and completely black not smugged with brown. I have no clue as to what it was and will have to wait to see if it comes back this winter.

Wow! She has sure grown. She looks a lot like Sarah's Missy. It would be fun to compare pictures of them now to see how similar they are.

Don't pick a stallion too big...I know from personal experience that when are crossbreeding the foals can be too big and have issues.
