8262 is the one that looks ready to pop any day! Hope she gets resettled in a herd before she foals.

I like 8262 good bone and body on that mare. I too am happy to see that the red duns are headed back out along with 1172 what a lovely lady.

I'm not really sure why they decided to release #7180 the red dun.I'm not sure if her confirmation really resembles that of a kiger. Her back i think stands out as the biggest problem for me, but she could have just had a lot of foals and that may have made it look swayed. Yay i'm so happy the grullo mare goes back out!

I wonder...should we try to come up with names for the horses that were just released and have photos of? That way if people go out on the HMAs to check up on them they can give a specific name instead of, "that pretty grulla mare," etc. It might be hard to get a consensus, but I thought it was an interesting and potentially helpful idea.

I am pretty sure the red duns were released based on color there are so very few.

Kim called the BLM and said that 7180 was originally gathered in 1989 as a 5 yr old...she is 28 and had a foal on her side this year. I'd much rather see the old gal go back out to live out her lives than adjust to captivity at 28!! She is foundation.

Well - she looks great for her age and I'd rather see her out too!

I am absolutely THRILLED that 7180 ( entire freezbrand is 83007180 ) is going back out....or I'd have to adopt her! I've got a thing for geriatrics!! What I can't figure is 4810.... sure, she has no white, but she also has no neck! go figure....

Some really nice ones being released along with some that shouldn't in my opinion. Seems to me that they need to focus more on conformation ( neck, neck , neck! they need to have one! Too many really low tie ins!) and less on color and white next roundup. Hopefully the future will be even better. 8225 & the grulla are very nice!
