Blue turned four this month and still looks young to me. But he is super sweet and smart, just perfect there. Quil was flirting with him a little yesterday although she's not in heat. The fence you see is the set back fence about ten feet out from the real fence, the girls have a set back fence on their side as well.

He's out of Chinook and Lark (Steens Vaquero and Cedar). I was just saying to Linda that its nice to see a Cedar type head in a masculine grulla form.

Ironic isn't it? For years I'd have given anything for grullas, now that I'm ready to retire I've got lots.

Some of you have seen the picture from last weekend already, but thought I'd show them here as well. Blue can go from looking dorky to sublime in just seconds, having Quil pay attention to him does it in nothing flat. Here he is sunbathing, our second over 70 degree day since last October He comes over to visit and gives me his soft submissive ears and funny face, he saves this goofy face just for me. I like what it says, but it makes me laugh! Then he excuses himself as Quil is coming over to flirt - this is the same horse, I swear! Quil walks away. You can see he's like a schoolboy and the little black-haired girl didn't sit with him. Then she comes back to flirt some more. I find myself humming the last line of Pretty Woman..."is she walking back to me? Oh, Pretty Woman!"

WOW Dianne! He's SUPER DUPER...no matter what angle! Its time to have some of his babies on the ground...! You sure have some nice stallions now - Mojito, Rio and Blue..! How is Rio doing? he's another one that Im looking forward to his foals!! Too bad most of your mares are all out of Chinny. I know its hard to have such great stallions and no mares to breed to!

Both Rio and Blue are out of Chinook, Rio out of Calista, now with Sarah and Blue is out of Lark (Steens Vaquero and Cedar). Not sure yet about who gets bred to who.
