I found last year that you do have to be careful when buying BOSS. I got some that had been sprayed so it wouldn't sprout and the chemical smell was awful. I threw it over the hill. Be sure that it isn't for birds.

Thanks Michelle! Just to clarify, the lbs per day is grass hay and alfalfa combined? Or is that the oats/crimped oats/barley? We've had such a wet spring that our grass is growing like crazy. I'm going to have to section the pasture to get the mares to eat anything else.
