Cindy:
Is HRTV on RFD TV??? You already know how excited I am for you two. You guys are such the dynamic duo.....I have to laugh at the people complaining on FB about stallions being allowed....because THEIR mares weren't behaving!!!! WAH WAH WAH.....I think EVERYBODY is responsible for THEIR OWN horse behaving whether it's a stallion or a mare! We already know the stud puppy is well behaved, did any of the other studs cause issues? Anyways you have come a long way and I"m hoping and praying you all go ALL the way! We will be rooting for you and take a bunch of pics there and at Rancho Bayo!!!!!

I believe HRTV (Horse Racing TV) is on Dish and some cable providers- I only get RFDTV so I'll probably be watching from the internet- all the episodes should be viewable online. It will be critical for us to get votes on our episode so we can advance to the Top 10 episode (they won't film additional footage for the Top 10- but that will mean Bravo will get additional air time and I will get a shot at some much need $$$ so we can keep getting out to events like these).
As for the stallions- yeah, that one lady was pretty upset, yet before the results were announced she wasn't nearly as gripey- there were a few bitter betty's.
We had about 4 stallions at our audition- and they all behaved well. One, a Paint, I heard give the stud nicker once and the owners were pretty gaurded about him- they got mad at someone trying to pull up next to where their trailer was- even though the stud was actually staying in a stall- and when I walked Bravo past his stall she was like "stud and stud!!!" I just kept walking, lol. In my interview they did ask about how Bravo was with other horses and I said last weekend we rode with a mare in front and a mare behind. We've ridden with mare's in heat and we also have ridden side by side another gentleman stud... no issues. The lady who was upset was not at our audition though- so she may have had some irresponsible owners, etc... I personally take extra care and make sure I'm not upsetting anyone- I even "double wrap" Bravo's panels with hot wire about 3' feet out just in case someone's mare gets loose and comes over at night.
I've only had 2 people who felt their mare was too interested in Bravo and acting up- yet I personally never saw anything like that- in both cases I felt like the person had fear and was getting in their mare's face, pulling on the bit, etc... so I think any reaction the mare was having was more about the rider than Bravo. But nevertheless, I adjusted our position as needed- no big deal. And in both cases the mare's owner commented on how well he was behaving.

Congrats and good luck! Looking forward to your TV debut! BTW, sounds like you are a very responsible stallion owner. Keep doing what you're doing and don't worry about the nervous nellies out there. You're right, no big deal.

Too bad your stallion is well socialized and well behaved!! They should look at their own horses at that point and realize they need more training! It reminds me of an Andy/Luso nationals I went to...there was a trainer over from Portugal showing a Lusitano in the stallion class. In the group workout, there was a DQ there and her stallion had issue with the other stallions. She spent the whole time trying to stay away from the other horses. The Portuguese rider made sure he was near her most times (like just behind her) so the judge saw how ill behaved her horse was - he even stood next to her in the lineup with a little grin on his face - it was quite amusing!

Michelle- I PM'd you about the possibility of vsiting your place next week. ;D Everyone: I was thinking about things they might ask me about Kigers in interviews-- and I wasn't sure about how many Kigers do we estimate are on HMA's and in Captivity? Any other interesting facts I should know to pass along? Thanks!! AND in case anyone needs our Facebook page - lots of pics!!-here's the link: www.facebook.com/bravocanyon

Oh boy! just looked at Bravo's Facebook page. Monty Roberts and Lynn Palm were the judges for the jumping. Guy McLean was judge for the water obstacle. What an adventure!

Still recovering from the wonders of this past week!! We had sooo much fun! What an amazing experience! As mentioned above- we had some pretty big name celebrity trainers talking to us. Bravo got lots of big compliments from them- Monty Roberts LOVED our jump- shook my hand twice and had nothing to critique :-) After our final freestyle obstacle course routine, we got more compliments and many said Bravo would make an excellent expo horse. If that wasn't enough- guess what breed of horse is Guy McClean's favorite??? KIGER MUSTANGS!!! That's right- he wants one- Don't know who he is??? Maybe you've seen him on YouTube-the guy with the at liberty duns?? It's much more amazing in person (brag brag brag) - but here's a video of some of the things he does.... youtu.be/WZUvTIrvGT4 What an amazing opportunity for Kigers if he were to get one (or two or four) ;-)

Well Dianne said if I wanted Bravo I had to promise to ride him and get him out in the world. Who knew that in a year he'd be on national (and maybe even international) television!!! We're having so much fun- as I said in my final interview- I feel like I'm 16 again and it's all because of Bravo!
