she is a quiet thing, her and gypsy our other grade mustang are best friends. they share their flakes of hay, and yummies. I have never seen two horses do that, eat out of the same feeder then go to the next feeder and share....She and Riddle should make some pretty babies, we will breed her to him in November 2011....

Nola:
Very pretty mare! What's she been doing the past 12 years, just been a riding horse? I think she and Riddle will make a nice pair! We need some new pics of Riddle when you get a chance, I bet he's even more handsome now!
Congrats on your additions to the herd.....

I remember a mare named Ruby that would be about this age. Who bred her or owned her, do you know?

all I know is Ruby was bought from rick, they bred her and got Mira, born in Glendale, AZ..then a young lady bought Mira when she was 8. moved her to Colorado. then moved back here to Tuscon. and I bought her on new years eve. now she is with us o stay, and have babies every 3 to 4 years...

here in Arizona spring in the valley can be a bit hot, but summers are 120 or so.. November here is more like spring weather across the the nation, easier on momma's and babies. When I bred Stormy I did not take into account the heat...which I will not do again. If we remain here the babies will be fall babies, if we do move to the mountains they will be spring babies...Thank you all for the comments on Mira. She is totally different from Stormy, yet the same if that makes sense. She is a bit flighty, but we can correct that..were on our way to having our Kiger Ranch...

Yeah, we envy you three months out of the year but your summers make up for it. That's a good plan to breed in the fall. You have longer days down there too, so the mares and stallion should be still having good hormone levels.
