I am taking Bella to the trainer's this evening to begin her riding career. Im super excited to see what she is going to enjoy doing. She's so amazing and trust me beyond belief. I went out last night and gave her a bath and clipped her - she lets me do anything to her however I know how ticky kiger's are with new people handling them so have let the trainer know it may take a little bit before she trusts him. I'll be out ALOT as he's only 30 minutes from me. Im going to be riding her during the prosses also so that I can learn with Bella. I can't wait to lope on her!!

For those that arent on facebook...here are the first pics and video's of Bella's first ride with the trainer. She did amazing...trotted off and loped off like she'd been doing it forever! PROUD MOM!! The trainer said I did a great job with her!! She was giving to pressure easy and was trying to figure out what he was asking   The video's did not download to youtube good at all..so Im not gonna post them on here..! she did pick up her right leads as he loped her both ways and she was calm and slow loped around..! |

Wow Angel!
You must be proud of your baby! Whom by the way is looking very tall!!!! Or is the trainer just ver short? I know you said she was gonna be big....what is she at now?
Great job on getting her a good start and I can't wait to hear more updates about her training progress....

Thanks guys! Im so proud of how Bella is taking all this new stuff being thrown at her. This is the first time she's ever been away from me and Lakota both and she's been so calm and eager to learn. Of course it helps that the trainer is amazingly patient and calm and doesnt get into a hurry - which is why i love him. He never gets into a panic or upset. Im very happy and pleased with my girl, Im just beside myself and can't wait to get on her and ride her myself!!! It's killing me!!

I got a video of Bella from last Friday...she's finally starting to settle in and get with the program of working!! LOL She's not the silly teenager anymore and now has a job to do! She has been great at getting the correct leads, didnt like the bit much at all at first but has now started accepting it. I think that has been her biggest obstacle so far, everything has come pretty easy for her. She's never bucked or reared or anything yet, lopes off, moves off pressure, etc..so doing good so far! I havent been back out at the trainers since Monday. She had a nice trail ride Tuesday and did great, she's doing good at learning, has picked up just not as energetic as I like to see. He's hauling her to a horse show saturday where I will spend all day with her meeting and greeting others in hopes that will make her feel better as well. so we'll see. Thanks for the concern Angela!!

Oh, I'm not concerned about her, I"m sure she's doing stellar....Love to hear about what and how she's doing! Have fun hanging out at the horse show..........Hope she has TONS of fun and makes you proud!
