RON HARDING MEMORIAL
During our November, 2010 membership meeting the KMA voted to honor Ron Harding in two ways. First, we voted and passed a $500.00 donation in Ron Harding’s name to the Faith Baptist Church Scholarship Fund in Hines, Oregon.
Second, in showing our deep gratitude to Ron for his dedication to the wild mustangs and for being so instrumental in the foundation of the Kigers, we also chose to honor Ron Harding with a Bronze Memorial. The famed artist, Rowland Cheney, has graciously donated the relief blank for this Bronze and will design the memorial. Rowland has also expressed his wish to be at the dedication.
The BLM has embraced this memorial and are working with the KMA to dedicate and display the bronze during the 2011 Kiger adoption at the wild horse facility in Hines. The Memorial will remain on display at the Corrals for future visitors to admire.
The Kiger Mesteno Association and private donations will fund the Memorial.
