Horses and dogs just seem to go together, I would love to see your canine companions. I am a horse and dog gal and after the passing of my loyal dog Bronx last December. I needed some time to myself, but it has been far to long. I started puppy shopping at the begining of this month and on Sunday I went and picked up my new canine companion. She doesn't have a name yet, I am working on it. She is a 8 week old red Doberman Pincher. I am looking forward to starting her training and next riding season when she can join me on the trail. my cat Spaz seems to like her just fine my daughter's year old dog Wiley is happy to have a playmate now

Aww!! How cute! I think horses and dogs just go together too My dog passed away 10 July 07. He was an amazing German Shepherd Dog. It took me about a year and a half before I could really even think about actually getting another dog and now I really want another GSD! Not the same color, but I have already picked out the breeder and parents. Now if I can just get out of this stinking apartment sometime within the next 4 months that would be great!! Then I could get a puppy from this breeding! Sire is WUSV (world title in Schutzhund) champion Jabina Falco and dam would be Gundi vom Erdbeerlord. Breeder's website: www.norrisnk9.com/Here is a picture of my dog back in 2003 with my sister's (then) kitten Nala. Nala is a purebred seal lynx point Siamese.

What a handsome GSD, the great ones we do hold dear to our heart and memories. A good friend of mine purchased her first GSD puppy last year and she is great. My daughter's dog Wiley is a GSD/Pitbull the best of both breeds

Looks like she belongs there! It is always a joy when the newcomers arrive like they have been expected and the other animals were just waiting for their arrival.

Here's one I took of my dog child, Charlie...I've had him since he was 5 weeks old, he's now 8 years old and as you can see, hates sharing my attention with the horse's! That's Bella's head - I was sitting in the pasture with them!!

What wonderful dogs everyone thanks so much for posting I had the pleasure of meeting one of Kevin and Lisa's very nice labs. I do hope you find great pups that will create new adventures and bring you as much joy. dunbnwild..very nice fuzzy dogs. I used to raise chows and they are the cutest darn pups bar none. I don't think I have every seen a long coated Akita RoxyAnn would most definately keep you warm and cozy on a cold winters night, she looks like a live stuffed animal Angelsdream ..now that is a puppy you can pack in your saddlebag I think their personality is bigger then the dog with Yorkies, I love that photo zingomom..what a great photo, the back of a vehicle full of happy great looking dogs. I did not miss your sticker either GOT TRAILS? pretty awesome ;D KimK ...WOW those are some BIG regal looking merle Great Danes, very handsome. Do you take them trail riding with you? I have dogs, and will have my horse. I am adopting a Sulphur mare, and hope to follow up with a Kiger, hopefully at the next adoption.

I have to agree with everyone on this topic, dogs just seem to go with horses! I would definately be lost at a barn if I didn't have a dog following me around. I'm very lucky to have a horse who loves dogs and i'm hoping one day him and my dogs can meet. Allgr8dogs congrats on your upcoming adoption, Sulphurs are amazing horses!
