My Shawave Nevada BLM mare Mariah foaled a beautiful dun half Kiger colt sired by Ki at 5:30 this morning. On my way home from work now to play with him before I have to come back this afternoon!

Oh goodie! Another baby..can't wait! It's been very slow in the foaling thread this year due to most of the breeder's not breeding any last year with the economy....so it's nice to see the little ones when there are some!!!

Congratulations, I hope you and your foal have a lot of happy times ahead of you. I hope you get some time to post a few pictures. I am sure we would all love to see him. Any ideas on a name yet?

The little guy is doing fine as is his mom. She wasn't due until May 8th and has never gone early before, but it wasn't terribly early and all is well. His name is HS My Nevada Wild Card aka "Joker". He is a hoot for sure. Will have a couple of first day pics soon.

He's probably going to be a pretty good sized boy. This particular cross, Ki and Mariah, has produced mostly horses that have matured at 15.2h. He is the sixth of full siblings. Only the 1999 colt stayed at 14.2.
