Yes Michelle he does have black in his tail..I'm sure it will change as time goes on and be all black. I can see the black in his mane some as well up close. I love to see them change colors and lose the foal coat!
Saphiro sure does put his conformation on his foals. Now just waiting to see the temperment. He eats very well, so Im sure he'll be blossoming out very soon!

I bet he'll be sweet as pie! I LOVE the colts, but of course I think all their shananagons are funny!

I'm with you Michelle, the colts are more social, friends of the world. Girls are more herd oriented, which is great when you become their herd but that takes longer I think.

well I like the girls boys are goofs, no doubt about it they do like to play. My girls not so much. Things are awful quiet and filled with sunbathing with a herd of mares. The boys keep me either laughing or yelling....LOL ;D always entertained.

Kira's foal this year is the first colt I've had. All 3 of my babies in the past were fillies. This guy is definately different. He's bold and boisterous and rowdy. Not so much sweet and loving. He likes getting his scratches, but he's not about being cuddled and coddled. My girls in the past were like little puppies. The always wanted love and attention, and they weren't nearly as rowdy as him. I'm not sure how to take him! LOL.

yes, this gorgeous colt is a half brother to Gringo and also a Chilli colt that Mary Lynn has, Reo...remember him? I think I have a pict of him from February of this year, he's the same age as Gringo.

Pict of Reo (Saphiro x Chilli) 1/2 Lusitano, 1/4 Andalusian, 1/4 Arabian. Reo has Chillis' topline, not Saphiros...

He is definaltely different than the girls Im used to for sure. Dianne funny you should mention the nibbling thing, cause when I went out Friday, he THOUGHT he could bit all over me like he does mom and I had to show him that wasn't going to happen. He is an absolute all boy! He's pretty bold and is not scared of anything, will walk up to everyone to see what's going on. I got some good video's this weekend also. He can almost out run Lakota!! Poor Lakota don't get much rest nowdays! 1st time all of them together! Bella stepped it up Sunday and took over role as Auntie finally instead of annoying 2 year old! 2 stray dogs came into the pasture Sunday and she ran them out and then turned and looked at lakota like "did I do good?" But when I first put them out, she thought she was going to run up and see the foal, uh no - Lakota wasn't having that! He's a very curious thing!! Here's the video's I got of him Friday! He thought he could out run mom! www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hF1IW9Yj3owww.youtube.com/watch?v=bXLTbc1nei0This one is cute - he's got some cutting moves! www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImVaHw3WiaQ
