We got 5 inches of snow yesterday, which is a lot for our area. It sure was pretty. Took advantage of the winter scenery and took a few pictures of horses.

I'm gonna have to figure out how to re-size these. Got a new camera and software program, so need to figure out all the new bells and whistles. First picture above is Image. Next is Opie and Reed. Enjoy! Melissa www.kigeranne.com

If Lee sees that pic of Image she may want to paint it. Great shots of your lovely Kigers!

Now it's raining and our beautiful snow is melting away into a messy slush. I did get a chance to photograph Image this morning before the snow melted. Here's a few more pictures. Image will be my main project after the 2010 WEG. He's definitely one of my "hopefuls" and I plan to invest a lot of time in him. Got a soft spot for stallions. Thanks for the nice compliments. Thanks Tiffany. I agree, snow does set a lovely background for photographing horses. Looking forward to "leafy green" springtime backgrounds though. lol Melissa

Oh, if times were different I would want Chica to have an Image foal. What a baby that would be. Dreams of what could be. He looks to be well worth your investment of time! Will be looking forward to seeing your accomplishments with Image. How old is Image?
I posted some pictures of Chica in a new thread ( to not change this lovely thread).

He's nice Melissa!! Yep, we've had some sucky weather down here also - tired of it and ready for spring!
When will you start studding Image out? I'm sure there will be some mares lined up for him...

Wow! He is quite a looker! What part of Tennessee are you in? I am in Central Arkansas. We were covered in ice over the weekend. I was glad for the thaw we had today. Now if we could get all the mud dried up!

Angel I'll have to agree with you about this nasty weather, and being ready for spring. The mud is horrible and now we are expecting rain this week. YUCK! Did get to use the arena today though. The footing is perfect right now. As of now, there are no plans to stand Image to the public. I'd like to hopefully make something nice out of him first, possibly in Classical Stock Seat Riding & Dancing Horse. Time and work will tell what the future holds for Image.
Hi Brandy, We are located in South East TN, 40 miles North of Chattanooga. I know a man in Arkansas with a nice Kiger stallion. His name is Hugh Seals. He adopted his stallion, Warrior the same time I adopted my first Kiger, Sombra in 1999. I agree with you about the mud and wish some of our horses would stop rolling in it! They're so nasty right now. Melissa
