Thought I would post a few short videos I took of Eric working with Reina and Rev last week.
Working with Reina on not dropping her outside shoulder in response to the inside rein. At this point, she has less than 10 hours under saddle.

Heres' one of Eric riding Rev last week at the local covered arena. Rev is still nervous in new situations. Though he has been here about seven times, there was a tractor at the far end of the arena putting up lighting and Rev was freaked out with all the overhead stuff going on. Eric is working on him stopping and staying put, then staying on the rail instead of dropping his inside shoulder and coming into the center. Eric uses the inside rein to lift the shoulder and move him over only when he does not respond to the leg first.
Alot of the flexing you see is to get the horses to relax the jaw and therefore release the neck and the braces in the body...

Video of Pache (Charro x Chilli) and his owner, Julie, working on balancing out his "go" and "whoa". He has about 20 hours under saddle at this point and they have been working on disengaging the hindquarter to a stop without the rein. Now, he wants to hindquarter and stop instead of stay on the rail and move out. He is being a little smarty pants when Julie pushes his sometimes, but he works through it well.
