Wow--it is the year for L-names, isn't it?
I can't believe how big all the babies are! Luna, especially--she's looking buff, what are her workout tips? LOL

Here is our crew this past week. Cora (Desi x Momma) - you can see mostly QH in her except for those long Desi legs! She's not very photogenic, so this is the best I could do.... MisChiva (Desi x Sycha) - She definately has Desis' body type and self carriage but has Sychas' attitude - not the typical quiet Desi filly! It will be between her and Luna as to who is the alpha out of this group. Nali (Desi x Chilli) - thank goodness Nali has the nice, easy Desi temperment, not the typical Chilli foal! Not only is she sweet and easy to work with, but I've taken her out on the obstacle course with Chilli and boy can she jump! Electra (Charro x Cantora) - on the move as usual!! Hard to get a still shot of this one! She is still quite the little spitfire, but I've spent extra time with her on desensitizing...! Luna (Charro x Nesa) - this filly never takes a bad picture! I was trying hard not to want to keep her, but she's not going anywhere. Of course she is the most oppinonated of the group this year...! Fabio (Charro x Morgan) last but not least, the boy! He is quite the handful with the fillies and drives them nuts! Very sweet guy though and HUGE!! Hard to get a good pict of him as he is always running the girls around or banged up from aggrevating the mares or running through the brush and trees. I did buy him a colt to play with, but that's another story for another day!

Wow Michelle, what a nice year for you! So glad you are keeping Luna. Haven't seen a filly with that much presence in a long time. You're going to have to put her somewhere else while you sell your other foals. Some foals just have that look at me, movie star type magic to them. Very nice! Fabio looks like a character, I like him a lot. And Electra! Got anyone looking for a cross country horse?

Luna is absolutely gorgeous, but I still love Fabio, especially his regal head picture. He's a heart breaker he is.

You got to love Michelle foals, they are just lovely. Luna is ooo' la'la' for sure. MisChiva' is just cute as a button and I think you chose wisely in naming her I still love a Chili' baby. Electra I really see the Paso in her. Now that I have one next door, they have some fiery presence but I wish he the one next door was in my pasture instead.

Linda--I don't get Michelle's images either--the photo hosting service she's using is blocked on my work computer.
I was able to check the pics out on my cell and they are gorgeous! How I wish I lived closer to you, Michelle. Texas is right next door, but you're still a long ways away :-(

Gorgeous crop Michelle - as always! MisChiva is very attractive (I find it amazing how Sycha's kids are marked like her too), and Luna is a bombshell! Holy cow does she ever have presence! ;D Looking forward to hearing about Fabio's new friend - no one can deny that you take extra good care of your horses, especially when you buy them friends! LOL

Kim, You can find out more about Electra's dam on Michelle's web page. She IS really Gorgeous :)http://www.ranchobayo.com/ladies.html Luna is Definetly my favorite! She is out of the mare you adopted in 2007, isn't she Michelle?

Thanks so much for all the nice compliments...it sure was a good year! My favorite crop is the now three year olds (Rico, Vistosa, Solana, Amada, Cazador and Tasa), but this year will be in the running for sure.
Electra is a DOLL for sure, but I think she will maybe maybe hopefully reach 14 hands - she's a peanut! She certainly does look Paso. I am learning how in the crossbreeding that the mare usually has much more influence over the way the foals look, at least that has been my experience so far. Hipo (the lusitano stallion) was way more influential than the mare until we had Hawk and Reina, both are more like thier mommas in most ways.
The Paso mare is first generation from imported parents from Columbia. She is built wonderfully and has great gaits. BTW...I am giving her away to the right home!!!!
Luna is definately a "bombshell"! Yes, she is out of the mare I bought at the last adoption. I am very surprised at how she turned out. She honestly does not really look like Nesa or Charro - seems she got the best of both so far. She is quite the little boss though and will even trot behind me shaking her head. Luna also does not conform when it comes to turning in and out...she purposefully always goes the other way, sometimes I think just to get a reaction out of me!
Seems like a long time to wait until they grow up, but I still can't belive we are training the group we are now - seems like they were little not too long ago!
Sorry about the picts, I 'll see if I can copy them another way next time.
